JKN Designs creates organic, artful, and sophisticated floral designs for weddings and celebrations of life, with a touch of the unexpected. Jaclyn renews her creative energy and inspiration by spending time in the garden, by the sea, and on mountain bike rides in the forest. She draws inspiration from fashion, film, interior design, art, and food, but it's time spent unplugged and outdoors that really fuels her.
More than a decade of studying and working as a fine artist led Jaclyn to floral design, where her two passions collided: art+nature. It is now her joy to create works of floral art for her clients that will transform event spaces and move guests.
As a lover of the natural world, Jaclyn chooses to source premium botanical materials directly from local flower farmers, from her own garden, or foraged locally. She works within nature's seasonal rhythms to reflect the time and place of your event while maintaining a low impact on the environment.
Northern California is an extraordinary place for flowers. With its varied micro-climates, our growing season is longer and the variety of flowers that can be grown here is remarkable. From gorgeous ranunculus, peonies, and flowering branches in the spring, to jaw-dropping dahlias, honeysuckle, and cosmos in late summer and fall. By sourcing locally we provide our clients with gorgeous floral varieties that are unique, fragrant, and long-lasting while supporting our local farms, local economy, and contributing to a more sustainable world.
JKN Designs is based in Vallejo, CA, and works regularly in Sonoma, San Francisco, Marin, Napa, and Mendocino Counties.
We believe that sophisticated design and eco-conscious practices can go hand-in-hand. Between 85-100% of the materials we use are grown by Northern California farmers whom Jaclyn has a direct relationship with. Many of these farmers are dedicated to organic and sustainable farming practices, authentically living out an ethos of land stewardship. JKN Designs is committed to reducing our negative impact on the environment by minimizing waste, and refraining from the use of floral foam and other hazardous materials as much as possible. We compost all organic material and re-use glass and other materials.
An active member of the North Bay Flower Collective, Jaclyn works hard (and has a lot of fun!) to elevate public consciousness of locally-grown flowers in the Bay Area and to support local farmers and fellow florists with a similar ethos.
